WEDNESDAY NIGHT SOCIAL NIGHT
Join us once a month as we get together for a social hour with friends! We will play bingo as we spend some time getting to know each other. The Town of Gilbert will no longer be providing snacks for social nights, please contact the Community Center at 480-503-6290 if you would like to donate a snack.

ADAPTIVE RECREATION PAINT PARTY
Come paint along with us! This class will be a social evening filled with fun and paint. When you arrive, we will walk you step-by-step through the process. We provide all the supplies and you get to go home with your very own masterpiece. Light snacks will be served. Participants should be able to follow simple directions. You must register for this class, drop-in not allowed for this class.

ADAPTIVE ART THROUGH THE AGES
Come learn about the masters while becoming a master yourself! Each week, or every other week, we will study a famous artist and recreate one of their most well-known pieces. You will learn new techniques, history and more. From Picasso to Van Gogh to Warhol and Now, YOU! Come have fun while learning and tapping into your creative side! This is an intermediate/ advanced level class. Participants should be able to follow directions and preform most tasks independently or have a provider present. You must register for this class, drop-in not allowed for this class.

BAKING BUDDIES
Sweet tooth got you craving some yummy cookies, ooey-gooey brownies, or even a delicious tart? Then this is the class for you! Come learn to create delightful baked goods to enjoy or share with friends and family! Each week Chef Denise will teach you the tips and tricks to getting a perfect bake every time! You will go home with your creations and a recipe to recreate them at home. This class is specifically designed for persons with special needs. It is not recommended for those with food allergies. Participants should be able to follow simple directions. You must register for this class, drop-in not allowed for this class.

DANCE AND TUMBLE
Adaptive dance & tumble provides exercise and social opportunities for your athlete. In this class we will have fun exploring movement concepts, developing dance skills, strengthening the body and brain and interacting with others. We will also proceed around an obstacle course focusing on basic tumble skills. Listening skills, social interaction, and building friendships are also a part of this class. This is a Beginner level class, but participants should be able to follow simple directions and perform tasks on their own or must have a provider present. You must register for this class, drop-in not allowed for this class.

HANDMADE CRAFTS
Come have fun with your friends while making a new craft each week. Each handmade craft will be a great keepsake item for your-self or to give as a gift. This class is designed specifically for persons with special needs. This is an intermediate/ advanced level class. Participants should be able to follow directions and preform most tasks independently or have a provider present. You must register for this class, drop-in not allowed for this class.

ZUMBA
This is a slower paced cardio workout designed for beginners and those with physical limitations. Easy to follow dance steps are set to unique Latin dance music to help maximize caloric output with fun, fat burning movements. This class increases skills in coordination, balance, discipline, memory, and movement. Can’t come every week? Pay as you go. This is a Beginner level class, but participants should be able to follow simple directions and perform tasks on their own or must have a provider present. You must register for this class, drop-in not allowed for this class.

MODIFIED PARENT/TOT (6-36 months)
In this class, parents/guardians are hands on with their child in the water. An instructor moderates the lesson while adhering to physical distancing standards. The lesson is designed for children to begin learning basic water skills, helping become comfortable and relaxed in a swimming pool environment. This class will cover basic water adaptation, front and back float, and basic survival skills.

MODIFIED TADPOLES (30-48 months)
In this class, parents/guardians are hands on with their child in the water. An instructor moderates the lesson while adhering to physical distancing standards. This class is geared toward toddlers who are gaining comfort in the water working on basic swim skills. The goals of this class are to work on swimming without a parent in the water and to introduce new swimming skills. This class will cover front and back float, kicks, and basic survival skills. Students must be at least 3 years old and be able to float independently on front and back for at least 10 seconds as well as kick independently for 5 yards before progressing to the next level.

MODIFIED SHRIMPS (3-5 years)
In this class parents/guardians are hands on with their child in the water. An instructor moderates the lesson while adhering to physical distancing standards. This class is designed for a first-time swimmer who is gaining comfort and confidence in the water. This is for children who cannot place their face in the water. The class focuses on the fundamentals: blowing bubbles, front float, holding their breath underwater, bobbing, and front float with a kick.

MODIFIED OTTERS (3-5 years)
In this class, parents/guardians are hands on with their child in the water. An instructor moderates the lesson while adhering to physical distancing standards. This class is designed for children who have mastered front and back floating. To enroll in this course, children must be able to float on their front and back independently for 10 seconds and kick independently for 5 yards. The class will teach freestyle, backstroke, underwater swim, and retrieving objects from the bottom of the pool.

MODIFIED ADAPTIVE (3+ years)
In this class, parents/guardians are hands on with their child in the water. An instructor moderates the lesson while adhering to physical distancing standards. Class is restricted to those physically or developmentally disabled individuals who are unable to participate in a class for the same age or skill level due to a disability.

FAMILY BLOCK SHALLOW END (3+ years)
This is a block of time designed for families with up to four children and two parents/guardians (of the same household) to use the shallow end of the main pool for instruction. The assigned instructor will suggest lessons based on skill level for parents to reinforce in the water to their children. Instructors will oversee lessons from the edge of the pool or in the water, adhering to physical distancing standards.

FAMILY BLOCK DEEP END (3+ years)
This is a block of time designed for families with up to four children and two parents/guardians (of the same household) to use the deeper end of the main pool. The assigned instructor will suggest lessons based on skill level for parents to reinforce in the water to their children. Instructors will oversee lessons from the edge of the pool or in the water, adhering to physical distancing standards.

LEVEL 4 (6-15 years)
Children will learn to swim at least 25 yards of freestyle and backstroke, increase endurance, master rhythmic breathing, learn breaststroke basics, scissor kick, and turning at the wall. In order to enroll in this course, children must be able to swim freestyle with rhythmic breathing and backstroke proficiently for at least 15 yards. Instructors will have a hands-off approach to accommodate for physical distancing standards.

LEVEL 5 (6-15 years)
The purpose of this course is to coordinate and refine the main strokes learned and introduce the butterfly. Instructors will have a hands-off approach to accommodate for physical distancing standards.

DIVING (5-15 years)
In this class, children will learn approaches and basic dives. This class will cover the proper front and back approaches as well as basic front and back dives. Participants must be able to swim to the side of the pool after going off-board without assistance. We recommend one-piece swimsuits. Instructors will teach from the side of the pool to accommodate for physical distancing standards.
