After recycling over 100 tons of glass in 2024 through our successful pilot program at Freestone Park and Discovery Park, Gilbert is enhancing its recycling efforts by introducing three new recycling drop-off locations. The new locations will provide residents with convenient options to dispose of glass bottles, jugs, and jars responsibly.

McQueen District Park | 410 N. McQueen Road

South Recharge Facility | 5250 S. Higley Road

These purple glass recycling bins are accessible to residents, offering a sustainable solution for glass disposal.

Know Before You Go:

• Only glass bottles, jugs, and jars are accepted at these drop-off locations.
• Glass jars of any color are accepted.
• Please remove all lids or caps before placing your items in the bins.
• Do not bag your items.
• All glass items should be empty and clean.
• Other glass, such as windows or glassware, is not accepted.
• Do not leave other recyclable materials or household trash near the recycling bin.
• Glass is not accepted in Gilbert’s curbside recycling program (your blue bins). It can only be recycled at these new community drop-off locations.

By utilizing these five glass recycling drop-off sites and following the guidelines, Gilbert residents can contribute significantly to the town’s sustainability efforts and help reduce landfill waste. Learn more about our recycling program at Glass Recycling.
