Gilbert’s Transportation Master Plan (TMP) is a 20-year vision for the Town’s multi-modal transportation network.
It was adopted by Gilbert Town Council on August 23, 2022.
The development of the TMP was a collaborative effort that brought together residents, the business community, regional and state partners, local stakeholders, and Town staff to create a strategic transportation vision for Gilbert to better connect people and places.

The Town of Gilbert Transportation Master Plan implements the broader community vision contained in the 2011 Town General Plan – “a safe, healthy, clean, attractive, family-oriented community that embraces our Town’s heritage yet recognizes the opportunities of the future without sacrificing the resources of today." The Transportation Master Plan covers all forms of personal travel - walk, bike, transit, and automobile.
Intersection Improvement Master Plan - Final Report

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the existing and projected demand at the major arterial intersections with the Town, recommend improvements to address level of service and safety deficiencies, and prioritize the implementation of the improvements.
