CIP Project Page Background

Your Dollars. Your Gilbert.
Investing in More Ways to Play.

Desert Sky Park, Gilbert's newest recreational destination, opened in 2019 and spans 110 acres. The park is located at 6624 S. Power Road. Designed for phased development, Phase 1 is complete, and Phase 2 is set to begin construction in early 2026.

Guided by the Desert Sky Park Master Plan, Phase 2 will develop an additional 50 acres in the Rittenhouse Basin near Power and Williams Field Roads. The park is uniquely designed to serve dual purposes—stormwater retention and vibrant recreation.

Phase 2 Highlights:

  • Five Multi-Use Fields
  • A Splash Pad with Inclusive Play Features
  • Two Playgrounds, with Inclusive Play Features
  • Eight Pickleball Courts with a Shade Pavilion
  • Two Sand Volleyball Courts with a Shade Canopy
  • Tennis Court
  • Basketball Court
  • Dog Run
  • Two Restroom Facilities
  • A New Entry Points and Expanded Parking

This next phase continues Gilbert's commitment to investing in community spaces that bring people together—creating more ways to play, connect, and thrive. Inclusive features. More fun. All for you.
