The Crisis Response Team (CRT) is made up of four Officers and a Sergeant responsible for any in-progress calls for service where someone is in need of mental health resources. CRT officers are trained in crisis intervention and de-escalation tactics, as well as crisis negotiations. The goal of the CRT is to resolve all situations in a safe, effective, and mutual way.  

The dedicated team will have the time and resources to work with the individuals in need. CRT Officers work with individuals to encourage follow up and walk them through the process. In addition, CRT Officers will serve mental health detainers,  and partner with state and local agencies that provide homeless and veterans resources.  If you have any questions or feel the CRT team can help you or an individual you know, please email the team at CRT@gilbertaz.gov
