1. Register your team online at www.GilbertRecreation.com.  This guarantees your spot in the upcoming season. Payment is due in full at time of registration.
2. Open the Softball Roster Form then fill in your roster information.
   *Note: Players can now play on any number of softball teams in Gilbert, as long as they are listed on the official team roster.  This includes both league and tournament play.  Team managers are responsible for keeping their rosters up to date.
3. Right click, and safe as a pdf document. Attach it to your internet e-mail service (i.e. Hotmail, Yahoo.com) and e-mail to trevor.henry@gilbertaz.gov. Your roster will be sent directly to our Adult Sports staff.
4. After we have received your roster a confirmation e-mail will be sent to you. 

*Softball rosters can be emailed, mailed in, or dropped off at the Gilbert Parks and Recreation Department, 90 E. Civic Center Dr., or Cactus Yards. 4536 E. Elliot Rd.

Gilbert Parks and Recreation proudly hosts a variety of tournaments during the Fall sports season, as well as co-hosts the All-City Softball Tournament in the Spring. Registration for each tournament typically opens early September (All-City will open in January). Tournaments are open to teams of all levels; participation during the regular Adult Softball seasons is not required for tournament participation.

Each tournament will have a separate roster form that must be submitted in order to participate.

Beginning in fall 2022 (2022 season 5 for Cactus Yards leagues), Gilbert Parks and Recreation will require barrel compression testing for all adult softball leagues and tournaments. As a part of the All City Softball initiative, players can tests their bats with Gilbert, Mesa, Chandler, Tempe, or Scottsdale. Passing bats will receive an approval sticker valid through December 2023 at all locations.

1. All adult softball players will be required to test their bats prior to use in adult softball leagues and tournaments.
2. Bats must be on the USA Softball approved bats list or the USA Softball list of non-linear bats.
3. In order to pass, barrel compression must be at 1450 psi or greater. Non-linear bats will have unique barrel compression thresholds available here. 
4. Passing bats will receive an approval sticker valid until December 2023 at Gilbert, Mesa, Chandler, Tempe, and Scottsdale.
5. Umpires and staff will regularly check bats for compliance. Use of an illegal bat will result in player ejection. Further disciplinary action will be taken for repeat offenses. 

• Bat testing will only be available prior to scheduled adult softball games beginning Sunday, September 11, 2022. 

• Bat testing can be performed prior to scheduled adult softball games, or during regular business hours at the Cactus Yards Team Shop. Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm
