 Parade Theme

This year’s Gilbert Days Parade for 2025 is going beyond imagination with the theme "Out of this World!" Schools, businesses, nonprofits, and more are invited to showcase their most creative ideas, whether it's a journey through outer space, a dive into futuristic technology like AI and robots, or a voyage to the mysterious depths of the ocean. From cosmic costumes to underwater cities or robotic parades of the future, if it’s out of this world, it belongs in the parade!

Please Note: 

Groups are welcome to design their float/entries as they choose making sure they stay within the guidelines listed. 

Rules and Guidelines for Parade Participants

Please review the following Parade Rules and Guidelines carefully. All participants are expected to follow these to ensure a safe and enjoyable event for everyone.

Participant staging, parking, and parade information will be emailed to participants two weeks prior to the parade using the registered email.

• All vehicles that are planning on being in the parade must check in by 7:30 AM. All group participants must be set and ready by 8:00 AM on the morning of the parade in their designated staging areas.

• Entries may not stop to perform, distribute giveaway items, or for any other reason on the parade route. All entries must continue to move with the flow of the parade, unless directed to stop by a staff parade marshal for operational or safety reasons.
  
  
• Giveaway items must be handed out, and never thrown into the crowd. Distributors may walk along the crowd’s edge but should not encourage anyone to enter the street. We encourage creative, meaningful giveaways. Sometimes a smile or high five goes further than candy! Be creative! 

• Vehicle Size Maximum: Due to safety and spacing concerns, vehicles larger than a 20 ft. trailer are not permitted in the staging areas, or on the parade route. Please no semi-trailers, or vehicles longer than 30 ft. total (truck +20 ft. trailer). 
  
  
• Participant Maximum: Each parade entry must fit within one of the following categories. 

  • Up to 50 participants plus up to 2 cars/vehicles

  • Up to 100 participants plus 1 truck/trailer float

  • Up to 50 participants plus 10 motorcycles, scooters, or bikes

  • Up to 125 participants walking only – no vehicles included

  • Equestrian entries may include up to 5 horses per entry

• Equestrian/Animal Entries: All equestrian/animal entries must provide their own pooper scoopers behind their entries. Those not cleaning up after their animals will not be permitted to participate in future parades. Please be considerate to those walking behind the animals.

• Parade Entry Fee: The entry fee is $150. An invoice will be sent by the Special Events Team after registration. Payment must be received to secure your spot in the parade.
