     Gilbert Days Parade

     

 

The Gilbert Days parade is a long tradition of being the premiere event for Gilbert Days. The parade is a celebration of   our Town’s heritage and involves many local  schools, businesses, non-profit organizations, and special interest groups.

NEW- for this year, we will only be accepting applications from a limited number groups in each category.  When applying for the parade, please select the appropriate category for your entry.  The parade contact listed on the registration form will receive an email confirmation if your group has been accepted into the parade.  Please do not call to pay for the entry until you have received an email stating your group has been accepting into the parade. 

The 2019 parade theme is "Clowning Around in Gilbert"  All parade entries are encouraged to use the "Clowning Around in Gilbert"  theme within their parade entry/float.  The parade announcers will be the parade judges and winners will receive a free parade entry for the 2020 Gilbert Days Parade.

Parade Participants

School Marching Bands

Due to space limitations in the Heritage District and in the parade staging areas, Gilbert will be limiting the number of school marching bands that will invited to participate in this years parade.  The Town of Gilbert special event will invite 1-2 Marching Bands from each of the local school districts to participate in the parade.  The Town of Gilbert special event staff will notify the selected schools via email by September 2nd.  Please do not register your School Marching Band unless your school has be notified to submit the registration form. 

Registration

For groups looking to participate in Gilbert Days Parade, please click on link below and submit the registration form.  The final step in registering your group is that you will need to call 480-503-6200 to make a payment for your entry.  If payment is not received by Thursday 5pm of the week you registered, your registration will be cancelled. Registration will be accepted on a first come (paid), first serve basis for each category.  For questions please email denise.merdon@gilbertaz.gov.

Vendors

The Town of Gilbert does not allow vendors to set up along the parade route, streets or sidewalks.  Arrangement to vend on private property will need to be made with the property owner and a valid Gilbert Business License must be onsite with the vending location.
