Camp overnight at the Preserve at Water Ranch! Three campsites are available, 2 larger sites (20-35 campers) @ $40.00/night and the smaller campsite (up to 20 campers) is $30.00/night.
- Bathrooms are open all night with campsite reservations
- Campsite hours run from 1pm to – 12noon the next day
- No electricity
- Biodegradable materials only
- Gas grills allowed
- Fishing till 10pm
- Campfires are permitted (with your own firewood)
- Tent camping ONLY at the three (3) camp sites. No trailer camping permitted.
The troop/group is responsible for providing food, gear, and firewood. Reservations are required.

Scout Tours and Badge Work
We offer a variety of guided group activities, designed to cover some badge work achievements for both boy scout and girl scout programs.
Fee for a badge program is $5 per participant, with a minimum of $45 per group. Smaller groups are encouraged to combine with another small troop or den if needed to meet the minimum requirement.
Scout tours will be available October - April, Thursdays and Saturdays from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. and may be reserved up to 2 months in advance.

Other Youth Groups
We offer a variety of group activities at the preserve, such as bird walks, nature hikes, dinosaur and archaeological digs, astronomy viewings, and camping. We can also provide group lessons on conservation, ecology, water, plants and wildlife.
Youth group tours will be available October - April, Thursdays and Saturdays from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. and may be reserved up to 2 months in advance.

Riparian Preserve Field Guides are available for sale at the Parks and Recreation Counter, 90 E. Civic Center Drive. These guides provide a wonderful opportunity for scouts and youth to study the various birds and vegetation of the Preserve. Cost is $6 each.
