Use of the Preserve

Cactus SilhouetteThe Preserve is designed for community use and enjoyment.  Our trails connect to the Gilbert Trail System, and are accessible from various gated points of entry on all sides.  Horses are allowed on equestrian portion of these trails, bikes are allowed on trails and sidewalks, and leashed, well-managed dogs can accompany walkers in all pedestrian areas. The Fishing Lake at Water Ranch is managed by the Arizona Game and Fish Department as part of their Urban Fishing Program.

We offer ramadas, gathering areas, a dinosaur dig site, and campsites, which can be reserved by calling the Parks & Recreation Department at 480-503-6200.

Facility Fees

Call 480-503-6200 for all site reservations, including campsites and ramadas. 

Ramada Rental  $15.00 per hour (for Gilbert residents) 
$22.50 per hour for non-residents

Campsite Fees

Please note that as a Preserve, we request that any decorations or other items used on our sites are environmentally friendly. Please no balloons, confetti, or mylar. Please ensure that all trash is secured in bins upon completion of use.

Preserve is handicapped accessible. Please be aware that many trails are gravel and uneven.
