Join us for the grand opening of Desert Sky Park on Wednesday, November 6th to be among the first to experience Gilbert's new fitness-centered recreation space and a chance to earn the title of Desert Sky Warrior. The celebration takes place from 5:30 to 8:30 PM at 6624 S. Power Road, in between Williams Field and Pecos Roads.
The grand opening is sponsored by Hunter Contracting Co. and will mark the completion of the first phase of development at Desert Sky Park to include four multi-use fields, a fitness course, and a lake. Attendees who conquer the course will receive a commemorative dog tag necklace, declaring them a Desert Sky Warrior. They will also have the opportunity to meet Adam Rayl, a four-time national finalist on NBC's "American Ninja Warrior", who will be on hand as we unveil the fitness playground, which is the first of its kind for Gilbert. The celebration will also include an all-ages fun run, inflatables, giveaways, food trucks and more.
Construction of Phase 1 of Desert Sky Park is almost complete! Features for this phase include:
- 4 multi-use fields
- Fitness play equipment
- Restroom building
Gilbert residents will enjoy recreational use of the Rittenhouse Basin thanks to an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between the Flood Control District of Maricopa County and the Town of Gilbert.
