Water Safety - Swim Lessons

Gilbert is committed to reducing the number of drownings, near drownings, and water-related incidents through education, prevention, and public awareness.

Gilbert offers four sessions of swim lessons during summer pool season*:

*Saturday swim lessons are available at Perry Pool from May 30 - July 11. Perry Pool hosts Sessions 1-3 only.

Not sure what level to register your swimmer in? Please reference the below descriptions. If signing up for multiple sessions ahead of time, we recommend registering for the same level for both sessions!

Swim Lesson Descriptions

We dedicate the last few minutes of each swim lesson to provide feedback regarding your child's progression, so be sure to check in with your instructor!

Adaptive Swim Lessons 

Gilbert Aquatics offers Adaptive swim lessons designed for individuals with disabilities who require lower ratio and modifications. We offer Adaptive swim lessons during designated time blocks at our pools during summer pool season:

• Mesquite Aquatic Center  11:30 AM - 11:55 AM
• Greenfield Pool  11:30 AM - 11:55 AM & 4:35 PM - 5:00 PM
• Williams Field Pool  11:30 AM - 11:55 AM
• Perry Pool  11:30 AM - 11:55 AM

Financial Assistance

For those who require financial aid for swim lessons, we offer an Aquatics Scholarship. Details about the scholarship can be found on the Aquatics Scholarship Application. Please email the completed Aquatics Scholarship Application to: recreation@gilbertaz.gov.
