The Town of Gilbert Fireworks Ordinances

Key Points

  • Allowed dates each year
    • June 24th - July 6th
    • December 24th - January 3rd
  • Individuals using fireworks outside allowed dates are subject to a civil penalty of $1,000 
  • Fireworks are limited to private property with the owner's permission
  • Fireworks are prohibited on public property, including all public parks and public right-of-ways

  • Ground & Handheld Sparkling Devices
  • Cylindrical Fountains
  • Cone Fountains
  • Illuminating Torches
  • Wheels
  • Ground Spinners
  • Toy Smoke Devices
  • Wire Sparkler or Dipped Sticks
  • Ground & Handheld Sparkling Devices; Cylindrical & Cone Fountains; and Illuminating Torches per Section 3 of the American Pyrotechnics Association 87-1

Illegal Fireworks (Subject to $1,000 Civil Penalty)

  • Anything designed or intended to rise into the air and explode or to detonate in the air or fly above the ground   
    • Including
      • Firecrackers
      • Bottle Rockets
      • Sky-Rockets
      • Missile Rockets
      • Aerial Spinners, Devices, & Shell Kites
      • Torpedoes
      • Roman Candles
      • Mine Devices
      • Shell Devices
      • Re-loadable Tubes
