Fire Chief Jim Jobusch

Chief Jim Jobusch has 32 years of fire department operations and administration experience in which twenty of those years have been spent serving the Town of Gilbert. Jim began his career as a firefighter for the city of Urbandale, Iowa before moving to Arizona to work for the Rural/Metro Fire Department. Jim joined the Gilbert Fire Department in December of 1992. Prior to taking over as Interim Fire Chief in May, Jim had served as the Assistant Fire Chief, with the exception of his short tenure as Fire Chief from March 2010 until August 2011, during Collin DeWitt's term as the Town Manager.

Jim holds his Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from Grand Canyon University and is a graduate of the National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer Program.
