Gilbert Utility Updates
The Town of Gilbert understands the concern many residents are feeling about their recent utility bills. We want to reassure our community that identifying and resolving any billing issues is our top priority.
The town has selected Kimley-Horn and Associates, LLC to perform an independent audit of our water meter and AMI systems. The auditor will not be assessing our utility rates. The Town uses a professional firm to conduct an in-depth analysis of any proposed water rates based on infrastructure and water resource needs, and that process typically requires 6 months. The current rates were adopted by the Council following a state-required process. A copy of the previous analysis can be found here.
While we work through this process, we encourage you to explore the available resources that could help your unique situation.
This page aims to keep Gilbert residents updated on the progress of our third-party audit and any utility-related news.
