The Gilbert Town Council approved a Notice of Intent to explore potential adjustments to water and solid waste & recycling rates.

This is not a final decision, it’s the beginning of a public process to evaluate options and gather community input. Many households and businesses have felt the impact of recent rate increases and your concerns are valid. We recognize that rate increases are challenging. At the same time, we acknowledge that next year, Gilbert and other Arizona cities will receive less water from the Colorado River. This isn’t a possibility, it’s a reality we must prepare for.

To protect our water future, Gilbert has been investing in:

The new wells will enable us to serve an additional 73,000 residents.

North Water Treatment Plant

These investments ensure you have clean, safe drinking water that continues to flow to your home and every business in our community. To reduce the impact on residents, the Town has reprioritized or deferred $239 million in projects, helping avoid a 55% rate increase.
