We Need Your Input - Consider Joining a Stakeholder Group Today!

Applications are Due Wednesday, July 20, 2016

At the Council study session on April 21, 2016, nine focus areas were identified as priority areas in need of attention and the support of an inclusive, meaningful community engagement process through stakeholder groups.

The Gilbert community is currently forming stakeholder groups in order to receive input on two focus areas - Solid Waste Management and Public Art. The input received from these stakeholder groups will be utilized to assist in the update of the 2018 Heritage District Redevelopment Plan.

Each stakeholder group will be comprised of approximately 10 individuals including one Gilbert resident, one Heritage District Property/Business Owner or Manager, one member from a Gilbert Board or Commission, one Business Leader within the respective industry, one Gilbert Executive Leader and internal staff members.

The primary responsibilities of the stakeholders in attendance are to provide feedback regarding the area of focus within the Heritage District. This input will be used to guide the update to the 2018 Redevelopment Plan. Participants will provide suggestions and make sure public opinions taken under consideration. The input gathered from this meeting will then be presented to the Council for discussion.
