9/11 Day of Service 

National Day of Service is an effort by Americans to pay tribute through expressions of unity, kindness and charitable service. Join us in keeping the promise to “Never Forget” by getting involved in volunteer opportunities.

Gilbert partnered with Just Serve and For Our Town-Gilbert for the 9/11 Day of Service. Thousands of volunteers joined us in honoring the spirit of unity and service. Their participation made a meaningful difference in our community. See all the results below!

9/11 Day of Service by the Numbers - 2025

An estimated 6,697 volunteers came together to serve.  Town members of all ages and abilities took on 97 projects, contributing 13,855 volunteers hours in partnership with 88 organizations.

Over 4,176 Volunteers of all ages and abilities came together to serve throughout the community as they tackled 48 projects and contributed 6,572 hours of service.  45 organizations either hosted, participated or received donations from the varying services performed throughout the Town of Gilbert.
