Gilbert, Ariz. – The Town of Gilbert has been honored as one of the Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America for 2024. This prestigious awards program celebrates organizations that prioritize the well-being of their employees. Gilbert placed No. 47 on the list, with 1,600 dedicated employees providing essential services to keep the community clean, safe, and thriving.

Gilbert, along with other recognized companies, earned this accolade due to the organization’s strong commitment to workplace wellness and exceptional health and benefits offerings.

In recent years, Gilbert has prioritized employee well-being through year-round education and experiential activities. Key initiatives include the creation of the Gilbert Peer Support team, telehealth counseling benefits, and Recharge Rooms for first responders, all focused on mental well-being.

Additionally, Gilbert has expanded its efforts to offer preventative health screenings and exams, vaccine clinics, nutrition counseling, and onsite dental services. The organization also introduced immersive wellness events such as healthy cooking classes, Holistic Health Month, and town-wide step challenges.

The 2024 Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America were evaluated based on six categories: Culture and Leadership Commitment, Foundational Components, Strategic Planning, Communications and Marketing, Programming and Interventions, and Reporting and Analytics.
