Gilbert Chamber, SRP to Host Series of Candidate Forums
GILBERT – The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce and SRP will host a series of candidate forums and invite the community to learn more about the candidates running for Gilbert’s Town Council, Legislative District 12, and the Governing School Boards of local school districts.
The Chamber’s candidate forums will begin at 5:45 p.m. with an opportunity for attendees to meet and greet the candidates. The formal program will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the following dates:
• Gilbert Town Council: Tuesday, May 27th;
• Legislative District 12: Monday, June 2nd; and
• GPS and HUSD Governing Boards: Thursday, June 5th.
Each candidate forum will be held at Higley Center for the Performing Arts, 4132 E. Pecos Road, in Gilbert. Admission is free and open to the public. The candidates’ responses at these forums, along with a written candidate questionnaire and an individual interview, will be used to determine the Chamber’s endorsements.
All candidates have been invited to participate in the public meet and greet as well as the forum and encouraged to set up tables with campaign literature for distribution to attendees.
