Gilbert Lions Club to Host Bluegrass Bash

Post Date:01/10/2014 3:29 PM
Gilbert, Ariz. - The Gilbert Lions Club will proudly host their annual Bluegrass Bash on Saturday, January 18, at 7:00 p.m. at the Gilbert High School Auditorium on Elliot Road just west of Val Vista Road in Gilbert.

This year the Burnett Family, a group that is widely known in the Blue Grass Circles, will be the headliner performing their signature songs. The Sonoran Dogs will also take the stage.

For the second year in a row, the Honorable John Lewis, Mayor of Gilbert will be the event’s Master of Ceremonies. Tickets are $8 per person and can be pre-purchased by calling (480) 357-2654 and will also be available at the door.

Each year, the Gilbert Lions Club uses the funds raised to better the Gilbert community by providing eyesight and hearing screenings to less fortunate children and adults, awarding two scholarships to Gilbert students, and by adopting a deserving family each Christmas.

In addition, the most important thing that the Gilbert Lions Club provides is the opportunity for someone to receive the gift of sight through our used eye glass program. This program collects, cleans, sorts and distributes prescription glasses to those who have never had the opportunity to read a book or see a smile on a child's face.

For more information, contact Lion Ron Rosinke at (480) 357-2654.
