Introducing Gilbert’s Listening Space: A Place for the Community to Be Heard

Post Date:06/09/2020 2:38 PM

Gilbert, Ariz. - In Gilbert, we stand against racism in all forms. We've created Gilbert’s Listening Space - a place for your stories, experiences, and feedback to be heard. With your help, we can create actionable change in our community.

The goal of Gilbert’s Listening Space is to provide a resource for our community to speak with members of the Gilbert Police Department, representatives of Gilbert school districts, and Gilbert staff about racism and police reform. We're focused on listening to our community and providing the feedback to elected officials and Town leadership. Gilbert's Listening Space

We invite members of the community to make their voices heard by signing up for a 25-minute time slot from 6:30 - 8:30 PM on any of the following dates:

  • Thursday, June 11th
  • Tuesday, June 16th
  • Thursday, June 18th

Both in-person and online appointments are available. The in-person appointments will take place at the Gilbert Community Center at 130 N Oak Street in Downtown Gilbert.

As we continue to focus on flattening the COVID-19 curve, appointments must be made in advance and no walk-ins will be accommodated.
