Construction Scheduled to Begin on Pedestrian Bridge Near Downtown Gilbert

Post Date:05/20/2020 3:34 PM
Gilbert is working with the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) and the Union Pacific Rail Road (UPRR) to build a pedestrian bridge (PR1130) connecting the Western Powerline Trail at the railroad tracks near downtown Gilbert. Construction is expected to begin in early June and is anticipated to continue through February 2021.

Vaughn Basin Park will close on Monday, May 25th in preparation for construction. It will remain closed through the duration of the pedestrian bridge project and reopen at the end of February 2021. The Western Powerline Trail will remain open during construction.

We appreciate your patience as we work with our partners to build a safer crossing for trail users.
