Gilbert Kicks Off Centennial Year with Carpool Karaoke Video

Post Date:01/15/2020 7:30 AM

Gilbert, Ariz.- Gilbert is kicking off its Centennial Year by throwing it “back” and talking about the future in its latest carpool karaoke video starring Mayor Jenn Daniels. In the video, Mayor Daniels gets surprised by none other than Back to the Future character Doc Brown, driving, you guessed it, a DeLorean. They go on a tour of Gilbert’s Heritage District recounting the community’s roots and discussing the mayor’s initiative to become the City of the Future, all while reprising some of the greatest hits from the popular movie series.

This is the fifth carpool karaoke video to come from Gilbert, Arizona, and is on track to gain as much attention as previous videos like this one highlighting the Gilbert Police Department, which received hundreds of thousands of views across Gilbert’s social media channels. Each carpool karaoke segment is hosted by Mayor Daniels and serves a specific campaign, messaging important information to residents and visitors in a format that’s fun and entertaining.

That’s exactly what the town is looking for in 2020, as organizations and businesses plan events and activities to celebrate 100 years of living, working and thriving in Gilbert, Arizona.
