Hello, Gilbert! Here are the top news and events for the week of January 6th:
Registration is now open for Gilbert’s 2020 Digital State of the Town premiere on Thursday, January 23rd at Harkins SanTan Village! This year’s Digital State of the Town is celebrating Gilbert's past while looking forward and planning for our future as we begin the community's Centennial year. We will be hosting two showtimes at 5 PM and 6 PM. This event is free and open to the public, but space is limited so please register early. Doors open 15 minutes before each showtime. Valley Metro and Gilbert are hosting a public meeting on Tuesday, January 7th at the Gilbert Civic Center for residents to learn more about a proposed change to the town's paratransit service area, also known as Dial-a-Ride. Tuesday’s meeting will take place from 2-4 PM at the Gilbert Civic Center at 50 E. Civic Center Drive and will be the first of three outreach opportunities taking place this month. Other events taking place this week include a Council Subcommittee on Land Development Code at 7 AM on Tuesday, January 7th followed by a Regular Town Council Meeting at 6:30 PM that same evening. There will also be a Planning Commission Meeting on Wednesday, January 8th. View agendas here.
