The results of the Gilbert Resident Survey are in! Did you know that 97 percent of Gilbert residents rated the quality of life in Gilbert good or excellent? Calling all kids! You’re invited to join us for the Gilbert Community Bike Safety Rodeo from 9 AM to 1 PM this Saturday, August 10th at SanTan Village events pavilion next to Harkins Theatres. This free, indoor event will feature a bike obstacle course, helmet and bike fitting stations, bike safety tips, food vendors and raffle prizes.
As students head back to school, the Gilbert Police Department wants to remind residents of the importance of safe driving, especially school zones.
Remember these tips:
- Follow all traffic and speed limits signs
- Avoid distractions when entering a school zone
- Learn and obey school drop-off and pickup procedures
- Ensure your teenage drivers are well versed on the rules of the road

The Gilbert Water Tower will be lit green from Wednesday, August 7th through Thursday, August 8th in recognition of Light it up Green for Muscular Dystrophy, a national campaign that raises awareness and funds in hopes of finding a cure for muscular and neuromuscular diseases.
