  • Get in the holiday spirit at Gilbert’s Riparian After Dark event starting this Friday, December 7th! Join us for a stroll along the festively-lit trail and enjoy a variety of holiday entertainment. We’ll also be collecting canned goods for Open Arms Food Bank on Friday and AZcend on Saturday.   • Is your home decked out for the holidays? Gilbert 311 is teaming up with Alex, Gilbert’s Data Librarian, to create a holiday lights map. Add your home and see a map of festive Gilbert locations at

  • The holiday celebrations continue! Join the Gilbert Fire and Rescue Department this Saturday, December 8th from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the SanTan Village Walmart for Fire Truck Rides and Pictures with Santa. They’ll be collecting new, unwrapped toys and clothing to benefit their annual holiday drive.
  • Gilbert’s Youth Fishing Day is also taking place this Saturday, December 8th from 8:00 AM until noon at Discovery Park. Arizona Game and Fish will be loaning out fishing poles and bait so that everybody can enjoy! The first 200 participants ages 16 and younger will receive a free Zebco fishing pole donated by Cabela's. Learn more at
