Gilbert, Ariz.- August is Drowning Impact Awareness Month, but one Gilbert dad is focused on drowning prevention all year. He’s hoping his new invention will help save lives.
Lee Kambar is almost finished with the first prototype of Morningstar SOS, a drowning prevention device that sits in a swimming pool with motion-sensing cameras. It sends alerts if the pool barrier is breached and if someone enters the water. Kambar hopes to prevent tragedies and protect loved ones all over the country. He also knows the importance of practicing water safety.

A-Adult supervision and awareness
C-Classes like CPR and swim
To help spread awareness about the impact of drowning, wear a purple ribbon or the color purple throughout the month of August and encourage discussions about water safety.
