Post Date:07/24/2018 10:08 AM

SPARK Game Jam - SEPTEMBER 12-13Gilbert, Ariz.- Are you an Arizona junior high or high school teacher looking for coding opportunities for your students? Are you a student who knows how to code or wants to learn? Register today for SPARK Game Jam, a coding competition for Arizona junior high and high school students, taking place September 12-13, 2018, from 8 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Arizona State University’s Polytechnic Campus.

Whether you are an expert or you have never coded before, we have a competition to you! For the first time, SPARK Game Jam is offering both beginner and advanced tracks at the same event.  Students will have a little more than 24 hours to plan out, wireframe, and create a game, ultimately competing to win big prizes. Prior to the event, training will be available for participating teachers to help them guide their students through the competition.

SPARK Game Jam is hosted by Gilbert, Arizona, in partnership with Arizona State University’s Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering and sponsored by Waymo, formerly the Google self-driving car project. We’re also excited to be collaborating with the Smithsonian’s Lemelson Center to highlight invention and problem solving to help students develop the skills that they will need to be the inventors of the future.

You don’t want to miss this and space is filling up fast! Learn more about SPARK App League® and register for SPARK Game Jam at www.sparkappleague.com.
