This April, we want the whole country to know that Gilbert is the most water wise in the nation, but we need your help!
This month, Gilbert is competing in the Wyland National Mayor's Challenge for Water Conservation. On behalf of Gilbert, you can take a simple, free pledge to commit to saving water at mywaterpledge.com. Residents of the winning cities are eligible to win up to $5,000 toward home utilities, a Toyota RAV4 Hybrid for a local charity, and hundreds of other prizes.

Let’s keep the water-saving momentum going. In 2017:
- Gilbert Parks, Streets, and Facilities Departments saved over 54 million gallons by making monthly irrigation adjustments, promptly fixing leaks, and utilizing water-efficient technology.
- Gilbert residents saved 21 million gallons through 422 free Water Efficiency Checkups.
- Gilbert HOAs and apartments saved 190 million gallons by monitoring landscape irrigation according to customized water budgets.
- Gilbert businesses and churches saved 15 million gallons by monitoring landscape irrigation and installing water-efficient technology.
