Gilbert, Ariz. – Construction is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, to replace water pipeline in Gilbert’s Heritage District. As part of the Heritage Waterline Project, crews will be taking the waterline along Gilbert Road from Vaughn Avenue to approximately Elliot Road and moving it to streets just east/west of Gilbert Road in order to minimize future impacts related to waterline work and maintenance.
Work is scheduled to take place Sunday through Thursday during night and morning hours. While work is being conducted, Gilbert Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Business and resident access will be maintained.
In order to prepare for this work to begin, the southbound curb lane on Gilbert Road just north of Elliot Road will be closed Tuesday, December 26 through Friday, December 29 between 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Right turns can be made from the through lane.
This work is Phase 1 of the Heritage Waterline Project and it is expected to be completed in late February 2018. Should you have any questions, please contact the project hotline at (480) 898-4090.
We appreciate your patience as we conduct these necessary infrastructure improvements. Please remember to keep your speed down, eyes up and drive safely.
