About McQueen Park Activity Center

McQueen Park Activity Center is one of the most versatile facilities serving the East Valley today. The 27,000 square foot facility is an architecturally distinctive structure that allows us to create and accommodate multiple uses and opportunities, including Recreation Classes, Open Gym Hours and Facility Rentals.

McQueen Events & Activities

WIGGLE WORM ADVENTURES - A clean, safe, indoor play area designed for kids 5 years & under. Year round Friday's 9-11am.

STORYTIME ADVENTURES with BEAR - Come set out on a new adventure through the pages of our books and create story inspired crafts.

Recreational Program After School:

Fun Zone Web LogoTrained recreation staff is on-site to promote a healthy, positive recreation environment to ensure the safety and enjoyment of our participants! Kids will enjoy sports, classroom activities, games, arts & crafts and climbing the traverse wall. Snack time will help boost their energy levels before settling down with homework time. Designed for children 7-12 years old.

Gymnasium

The McQueen Park Activity has a 6,500 square foot, air conditioned, multi-use, indoor gymnasium equipped with dual side courts. Open to the public, it’s available for basketball, volleyball and badminton. See schedule below or call ahead for availability. Daily admission fees apply.

Gymnasium Fall Schedule - year round (effective beginning Aug. 18, 2014)

Traverse Wall 

Come climb our 8' x 36' indoor traverse wall! Climbing opportunities/activities are staff supervised while rock-like features and multiple climbing routes add climbing challenges. No age restrictions but those under 12 years old MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times. Sneakers must be worn and a TRAVERSE WALL WAIVER must be filled out by a parent or legal guardian prior to climbing. Daily admission fees apply.

Traverse Wall Hours

Admission Fees 

One admission fee is required for use of both the gymnasium and/or traverse wall. Proof of residency in the form of a valid Gilbert/Higley School ID, AZ Driver’s License or AZ ID Card showing a Gilbert address is required to receive the resident rate. Others will be subject to receive the non-resident rate. Children under the age of 12 must have adult supervision at all times.
