Gear Up Gilbert: Community Bike Ride Event

  • Introduction: Gear up for a fun community bike ride from Freestone Park to Water Tower Plaza! Giveaways, music, yard games, and smiles guaranteed!

Gear up for a fun community bike ride through Gilbert! Join us on Saturday, April 18 for a morning ride along the Power Line Trail from Freestone Park to Water Tower Plaza.

Check-in begins at 7:30 AM in the parking lot south of the Freestone Skate Park, and the ride will begin promptly at 8 AM. This casual group ride is perfect for riders of all skill levels and a great way to experience Gilbert’s trail system with friends, family, and fellow cyclists.

This is a one-way ride, ending in the Heritage District at Water Tower Plaza, so families can relax and enjoy downtown without feeling the need to ride back as a group. After the ride, participants can stick around for music, vendor booths, giveaways, yard games, and community fun.

Important Information:

  • Registration is free but required
  • Riders must bring their own bike, helmet, and water
  • Balance bikes and bikes with training wheels are not permitted

  • Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult

After the ride, stop by the Digging the District Open House at the University Building (next to the Heritage District Farmers Market). Learn about exciting construction projects shaping the future of the Heritage District, ask questions, and grab free swag and giveaways!
