Join us on Monday, January 19, for a community celebration honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the 2026 Mesa–East Valley Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade & Festival.
Hosted by the Mesa–East Valley Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee in partnership with the City of Mesa, this annual celebration brings together residents, leaders, and organizations from across the East Valley to reflect, connect, and continue building community.
Parade | 11:00 AM
The parade begins at MLK Way and Center Street, traveling south on Center Street before heading east on 1st Street and concluding at 1st Street and Hibbert. Along the route, enjoy performances and participation from marching bands, dance troupes, schools, community organizations, neighboring cities, and local leaders.

Community Festival | 12:00-4:00 PM
Following the parade, all are invited to gather at the Plaza at Mesa City Center for a family-friendly community festival featuring food, local vendors, live entertainment, and activities for all ages. Festival highlights include:
- Interactive music, trivia, raffle prizes, and line dancing with DJ B. Mac and the iSpark Dancers
- On-site blood donations with Vitalant
- A community donation drive supporting the Tempe Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
- The presentation of the 2nd Annual East Valley MLK Awards at 1:00 PM
