About our meal service:

The dining room at the Gilbert Senior Center is open from 8 AM- 3 PM, M-F unless an activity or event states otherwise. Please view the calendar above for details. 

• Meals are served M-F from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM.
• Guests can enjoy a hot lunch or soup and salad daily at the Gilbert Senior Center. Those 60+ or under 60 with disabilities may choose a hot meal or soup and salad for a suggested contribution of $3.50; for those under 60 there is a charge of $5.00. Guests meals are available for $5.00/meal. All seniors 60+ who participate in the meal program will be required to fill out annual paperwork .Reservations are requested but not required.

Home Delivered Meals

• AZCEND also offers the Home Delivered Meals Program for those who are unable to come to the center. A hot nutritious meal is delivered to the home Monday - Friday between 10 AM - 2 PM. To qualify for programs participants must call the Senior Helpline which is offered by Area Agency on Aging 602-264-4357.
• An assessment for Private Pay meals is available for those who don’t qualify for program funded meal delivery. Please contact AZCEND's HDM Coordinator, at 480-503-6058 for more information. 

Volunteer Drivers Needed

• The AZCEND Home Delivered Meals program provides meals to homebound seniors or disabled individuals. Volunteers deliver meals Monday-Friday from 9:30am-12pm and 11:30am-2pm.
• Whether you are available once per month, once per week or only on an emergency basis, your help is needed. Volunteers drive their own vehicles and are reimbursed for mileage. Drivers must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance and the ability to obtain a Level 1 fingerprint clearance card.

We host a variety of social events, classes, physical activity programs, and field trips. These activities are open to anyone over the age of 60 in the east valley.

Senior Center Newsletter: October-December 2025

Join us the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of every month!

When: Recurring every 1st & 3rd Tuesday of the month.

Time: 1-2:15pm

Location: Gilbert Community Center

If you are interested in sponsoring a session by providing a 15-20 minute educational session for caregivers and provide snacks, please email krista.trei@gilbertaz.gov

About the Senior Center and AZCEND

Adults have a place to meet new friends and share life experiences at the Gilbert Senior Center. Become a member today it's easy. There are no membership fees and most importantly it opens the door to many activities and programs. For more information on please call (480) 503-6061.
