Gilbert residents looking to remember, honor and serve for 9/11 are invited to participate in the National Day of Service by volunteering for a local community service project. Gilbert is partnering with Just Serve and For Our Town to connect volunteers to projects.
Join us for the Town of Gilbert's 9/11 Memorial Ceremony at 6:30 PM on Thursday, September 11th.
Join Gilbert Fire and Rescue and the Gilbert Police Department as we remember the lives lost and pay tribute to the brave first responders who answered the call on September 11th, 2001. The ceremony will be followed by a Tribute in Light from 7:30 - 10:30 PM. Two beams of light will be projected into the sky to symbolize the World Trade Center's twin towers. Ceremony will take place at the 9/11 Memorial Plaza, 50 E Civic Center Dr. Gilbert.

- JustServe - Banners for Senior Care centers
- Patterson Elementary - Bagging and labeling soap for non-profits
- Positive Friendships - Meet a therapy dog
- Brightly Living - Making bracelets
