Water Conservation Programs for Schools
Where’s Our Water
The Town of Gilbert offers an education program for 4th grade classes to teach children the importance of water in the desert and how to conserve that resource.
The program consists of a presentation of the water cycle and Arizona’s water resources, as well as an activity from the Project WET curriculum (Water Education for Teachers).
The activity is interesting and participatory for the students. The entire program fits within the Grade 4 Science Standard; Strands 2, 3, 4, and 6. This classroom style program is 60 minutes long and can accommodate one class of students at a time. Multiple and back to back programs for schools are available so that the entire grade level can go through the program.
To schedule your 4th grade classes for this free program, e-mail or call Eric Braun with the Town of Gilbert at (480) 503-6896.
Programs are available to The Higley Unified School District, Gilbert Public Schools and Private and Charter schools within the Town of Gilbert water service territory.
