Safest Town a Little Safer Thanks to 'Eyes and Ears'

WATER WORKSHOPS:

Designing a drip irrigation system that’s efficient and low maintenance is easy if you know how. Learn how at a free water conservation workshop Thursday, Sept. 23, offered by the Town. It is just one in an ongoing series residents can take advantage of for a more beautiful landscape, and a lower water bill.

Register for a free class today.

WATER INVESTIGATORS: Gilbert has partnered with Project WET to provide a new program for sixth-graders that allows them to investigate their home water use as part of a fun and interactive workshop. COOPERATING WITH COPS PROGRAM

The safest community in the state is even safer, thanks to a new innovative program. About 240 additional eyes and ears working throughout Gilbert on a regular basis will now support our Police Department in the “Cooperating with Cops” program that has teamed our Public Works staff with our Police Department. Solid Waste drivers, who visit the same neighborhoods at least twice a week, are among those who have been trained to watch for and report suspicious activity as they serve us in their daily roles. It is a new safety measure that also promotes our efforts to provide innovative, efficient service.
