Traffic Stop Statistics

Bias-based profiling is defined as the selection of individuals based solely on a common trait of a group. This includes but is not limited to race, ethnic background, gender, sexual orientation, religion, economic status, age, cultural group, or any other identifiable group.

Gilbert police officers and employees are prohibited from bias-based profiling in traffic contacts, field contacts, and in asset seizure and forfeiture efforts. Bias-based profiling is the selection of individuals based solely on a common trait of a group. Any allegation of bias-based profiling will be thoroughly investigated.

Traffic stop and arrest statistics are monitored on a regular basis for any irregularities or patterns.
