G.A.I.N. (Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods)
October is National Crime Prevention month and the Gilbert Police Department commits to urge all citizens, government agencies, public and private institutions, and businesses to invest in the power of prevention and work together to make the community stronger and safer.
In cooperation with "Celebrate Safe Communities", an initiative through the National Crime Prevention Council, we encourage all neighborhood leaders to host a G.A.I.N. event (Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods) in the month of October to promote crime prevention in Gilbert. The purpose of G.A.I.N. is to heighten crime awareness, generate support and participation in local anti-crime efforts, and build community relations. A good neighbor is one of the most effective crime prevention tools ever invented. G.A.I.N. is the result of a joint effort between a diverse group of government and community driven organizations across the entire state of Arizona and would not be possible without the support of Target and the National Crime Prevention Council's Celebrate Safe Communities initiative.
Should you have any additional questions with regard to G.A.I.N., please call the Crime Prevention Unit directly at (480)635-7520 or by emailing the Crime Prevention Unit.
