Congress of Neighborhoods

Since 1997, Congress of Neighborhoods community events have resulted in positive changes in Gilbert. Recommendations affecting growth, code enforcement, traffic, homeowner associations, community schools, open space and trails have been forwarded to the Gilbert Town Council and have affected Town policy.

Mission: The Gilbert Congress of Neighborhoods, a volunteer group of community members and organizations of Gilbert which:

  • • Provides education and communication to Gilbert citizens and neighborhoods.
  • • Facilitates feedback from residents and neighborhoods to the Town and community leaders.

Vision: To bring residents and neighborhoods together to address common issues in order to build a community of excellence.

Upcoming Events

Newcomers' Welcome Social - Moving to a new community provides families with a number of challenges and difficulties. To help newcomers settle into their new community, the Congress of Neighborhoods, in conjunction with the Town of Gilbert Neighborhood Services, hosts a FREE new residents' social. Individuals from various Town departments and local programs present information about programs and services. Attendees receive newcomers' kits with local maps and handy information about Gilbert.
