Homebuyer & Homeowner Assistance

Home Repair and Home Rehabilitation Assistance

Does your air conditioning need repair?
Is your roof leaking?
Do you need a wheelchair ramp?

You may qualify for a grant to assist in emergency home repairs or home rehabilitation!
To be eligible:

• Must be a Gilbert homeowner and live in your home as a primary residence
• Must meet income eligibility - check your income [LINK]
• Must have a repair that is a health or safety hazard or accessibility barriers

Individual development accounts are matched savings accounts that enable low-income families to save money for a particular financial goal, such as buying a home, paying for post-secondary education, or starting or expanding a small business.

In order to receive CDBG and HOME funds, the Town of Gilbert must prepare a five-year consolidated plan, annual action plans that outline intended use of federal HUD resources each year, and annual evaluation and performance reports of accomplishments utilizing federal funds. All plans are developed in consultation with local organizations and individual residents through a public participation process.
