Welcome. The Town of Gilbert utilizes general funds, federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, and HOME Investment Partnership funds (HOME) to provide public services, improve neighborhood conditions, provide housing opportunities for low- and moderate-income individuals and families, and increase access to safe, decent, and sanitary housing. The goal of these programs and activities is to foster a sense of pride in the community and enrich the quality of life for Gilbert residents.

2011-2012 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER)

The Town of Gilbert is seeking public input into the 2011/2012 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER). As a recipient of federal funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) the Town of Gilbert is expected to annually report on the activities and accomplishments utilizing Community Development Block Grant (CDBG ) and HOME Investment Partnership funds for the previous fiscal year. The Town of Gilbert is currently seeking comments for the report. The required 15 day public comment period is from August 27, 2012 through September 13, 2012.

Written comments will be accepted during the public comment period and may be submitted to Jessica Fierro.  Copies of the draft Annual Action Plan may be requested and or questions regarding the planning process should be addressed to:

Federal Plans and Reports

In order to receive CDBG and HOME funds, the Town of Gilbert must prepare a five-year consolidated plan, annual action plans that outline intended use of federal HUD resources each year, and annual evaluation and performance reports of accomplishments utilizing federal funds.  All plans are developed in consultation with local organizations and individual residents through a public participation process.
