Honor Guard

With the growth of the Gilbert Fire Department and the celebration of its move to its new administrative facilities, the desire for a new ceremonial arm of the department was recognized. This led to the creation of the Gilbert Fire Department Honor Guard in 2003. The goal of the honor guard is to serve the community and the fire department as a visual reminder of the service and traditions of the fire service. It accomplishes this mission through the presentation of the colors for various holidays, at important ceremonies, and at funerals and memorials.
