Art Walk Launches in Heritage District

Arizona Art Promotions is proud to be the organizers of Gilbert Art Walk. Free admission to the public!

• Location: Water Tower Plaza in downtown Gilbert
• Event Date and Time: every 4th Friday evening through May from 6pm to 10pm - Friday Art Walk dates: 2/24, 3/23, 4/27, 5/25
• Event Date and Time: every 1st Saturday morning from 10am to 2pm - Saturday Art Walk dates: 3/3, 4/7, 5/5 - Kids can participate in "Create A Masterpiece", by creating their own art work supervised by Debbie Hirsh one of our fantastic artists.

2012 GilbertFest Music & Arts Festival

The Music Festival will feature internationally famous and Branson, Missouri favorites, The Duttons on Friday evening and the Brett Family on Saturday evening. Local and regional talent will also perform throughout the day on Saturday, with those interested in participating invited to apply to perform at www.gilbertfest.org. In addition to the music, local artists will be showcasing their talent as part of two centennial arts projects. The first, entitled “Partners,” joins local high school artists with long-time Gilbert residents to create art that celebrates Gilbert’s early days. The second project encourages artists of all media and genres to commemorate “One Hundred Years Together - Gilbert Past, Present, and Future”.

Town of Gilbert Schools of Distinction Award

The Mayor wants to recognize arts programs that have done an outstanding job of making the arts an essential part of education in their school, district and the community. By creating the Town of Gilbert Schools of Distinction Award for Outstanding Achievement in Arts Education, Mayor Lewis celebrates Gilbert's rich and diverse cultures by showcasing the success stories of students and schools. Any school (public, charter or private K-8 schools) located within the boundaries of the Town of Gilbert is eligible to be nominated.
