Gilbert Breaks Ground on New Fire Station Location

GilbertFireMalteseGilbert, Ariz. - On Friday, July 18th, 2014 at 8:00 a.m., Gilbert Fire & Rescue will break ground on the construction of the new Fire Station #7.   This new station will replace the current Gilbert Fire & Rescue station #7 located at Cooper Road, south of Guadalupe Road.  The current location of Fire Station #7 has been found to be inadequate to provide a four minute response time to the southwest portion of it's response area.  The new two-story, three-bay fire station will provide better coverage and assure a more timely response for citizens in this area.  Fire Chief Jim Jobusch will speak along with Mayor John Lewis and Gilbert Council Members at the groundbreaking.

Future Gilbert Fire & Rescue Station #7 and groundbreaking ceremony 

Friday, July 18th at 8:00 a.m. at 625 W. Warner Road.
